Stereoscopic Flash

Adam Reed Following on from Big Boss’s blog a few months back about stereoscopic rendering, I took it on myself to take it one step further… Realtime stereoscopic flash! :-)

Grabbing a handy Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) 3D model from the short film “Daughter of God”, I jumped into the code and created this little stereoscopic 3D flash demo. :-P

Use the arrow keys to move the APC. (You might need to click on the APC to get keyboard focus.) You will need a pair of red/cyan analglyph glasses to see the 3D effect. Unlike the samples that Big Boss was using, this is using ‘full colour” analgyphs rather than “greyscale” analgyphs.

Okay … so the next challenge is to do the same thing with hmtl5 (and be able to get the same frame rate).

Well worth getting hold of a pair of 3D glasses.
