Critter Rush!

Jordan Ormandy-Neale Critter Rush is up and running. We are about to host the launch ‘party’. There are bubbles and lollies, and all the boys are frocked up to the nines. They look good.

Greetings, and whatnot

Jordan Ormandy-Neale Hi kids, Jordan here. Production assistant at AWF. I enjoy grammar and making lists. And French electro. I have been sitting in Kubrick’s directors chair all week, and I don’t have a desk. Or an icon.

While Aldrich is away, I thought I’d let you know what is going on here at the studio. The animators are busy animating. The boss is busy bossing. And I make the coffee.

Monday will see the launch of Critter Rush (finally) with a bit of an event! Bubbles, red cordial and red jellybeans are on the menu. We will be running another competition as well, more details to come.

While the festive season is nearly upon us, I am yet to see a single decoration around the office. I’ll see if I can’t change that…

Until next time.

Tips for php and mySQL

Adam Reed While working in server-side programming, (scripts that run on a internet server sending out data, rather than on the users local computer), we came across some interesting techniques which helped us improve our on-line database system, and speed up the incorporation of on-line game scores and user database accounts within our website. The following hints help shed light on just some of the issues we have encountered. :-)

  • mySQL ENUM & SET - Very useful data types in a mySQL database.
  • HereDoc - An incrediblily useful php method when working with html.
  • mySQL AS clause -Where A is B as X in Y while…. the joy of a mySQL query!
  • Injection Attacks - Data harvesting… be scared, be very scared!!!

Hope you find some of these links useful. :-)
