The Love of Flash Games
So we’ve starting working on a new game called ‘Critter Rush’, based on the little cutie creatures found in ‘Arcade Trap’. And I’ll be doing the animations for it
So when we design flash games, certain requirements have to be met in the animations, for example the majority of the animations always start with the same pose, so when played over and over, it loops and doesn’t seem like two separate animations, the illusion is to make it seem like one complete animation.
Other requirements to take note of are the placement of camera, output size, lighting, etc. You’ll know what I mean when you play one of our available flash games, on the website. See if you can beat my score… it’s so high it’s not even ranked
Just a note, we’re in the development stages of a huge game called Piccolo’s Adventure. Many hours have been sacrificed for this massive game, although it’s far from ready, but when it is, it’ll surly distract those who want a bit of distraction from their lovely lives.
Also we’ve started a project that involves complicated clothing effects on an unusual rig. Just imagine the Hulk, minus the human look
It’s a nice break to create a rig that didn’t have the human counterparts, plus it’s always challenging to find magical ways to make it work when animated. For this particular project we need four versions of this rig, due to the complicated animation of it growing massive muscles…. muscles that most ninja’s lack.
That meant we needed four different types of skinning and for this particular project I skinned each individual muscle to a specific bone, this helped me have full control of a muscle without effecting the ones next to it. In the end it took the whole team to get this one completed, and I must say it sure makes me giggle when it’s on TV ![]()
